• NaNo has been an interesting experience so far.  We're into write in number 2 and I just keep getting wierd surprises beyond every turn.

  Kickoff was RSVPd for over 50 people, which would have filled the restaurant.  Only 40 came, but it's still a 50% increase over last year.

  Write in #1 at Midnight was a disaster almost.  Got to the first write in location and they claimed to not have any plugs.  Bullshit.  So we moved our group to somewhere else.  Which I called ahead of time, to see if they had room for a group of 16ish people.  By the time we drove the 10 minutes to get there and went in the restaurant, our 16ish people were now up to 30.  Which was more like 40 by the time the write in ended.

  Write in #2 was awesome.  We ended up back in the bar at the cafe, which was totally empty.  We had a great space to spread out in, and it workd out perfectly.

   

  Plus, over $50 in the donation bucket.  Woot.

  Oh, and I'm over 4k and there's another write in in 2 1/2 hrs.
